Jesus Paid It All

This powerful message takes us on a journey through what it means to truly find rest in God. We discover that rest is not about taking a day off or escaping life's pressures, but about trusting God with every aspect of our lives. The sermon walks us through God's original design in Genesis, where He declared His creation 'enough' and rested on the seventh day. This wasn't exhaustion but satisfaction and completion. Throughout Israel's history, from the provision of manna in the wilderness to the opportunity to enter the Promised Land, God was teaching His people a fundamental truth: rest comes through trust, not through work. When Jesus declared Himself 'Lord of the Sabbath,' He transformed rest from a religious obligation into a relational reality. The cross becomes the ultimate place where Jesus said 'It is finished,' inviting us to stop striving and start trusting. We learn that three obstacles keep us from this rest: our need for control, our demand for clarity, and our hesitation to move forward despite imperfect conditions. The invitation is clear: God is most honored when we are most satisfied in Him, trusting that what He accomplished on the cross is truly enough for our past, present, and future.
